WESTERN HILLS WRESTLING MUSTANGS

A BIG CONGRATS to 152lb Fred Nayou, 170lb Earl Danzy, and 220lb Josh Batchelor for placing at a tough Sectional Tournament. Earl and Josh finished in 6th while Fred qualified for the District Tournament by placing in the top 4. The entire Mustang Team wrestled hard all weekend against some of the best teams in the city. They lost some really close matches all weekend, but they did not go out without a fight. Hold your heads up HIGH Mustangs bc you deserve it. It has been a wonderful season, and I cant wait to see how we come back next year. The future is VERY Bright for the Western Hills Mustangs. Be Proud, Go Mustangs! Live Maroon!!!! 

It was a nailbiter of a day on Saturday Feb 11th at the League Tournament. The Mustangs wrestled hard all day, battling with defending League Champ Withrow. We were back and forth all day with them for first. Never seperated by more than 5 points. We fell just short when the final scores were tallied up. Congrats to you guys. It has been a wonderful season and you all should be proud of yourselves. We finished the season 7-5 (only 2nd winning season in 20+ yrs), took 1st at The WH Inv., took 3rd @ The Mt. Healthy Duals (highest finish ever, going 4-1), 3rd @ Norwood Inv. (Highest finish ever), 8th @ Milford Inv out of 17 teams (highest finish ever, just missed top 5 by 16 points), and 2nd @ League just missing first by 14. First year Head Coach Ryan Williams was named the League's Coach of the Year. This would not have been possible had the wrestlers not worked so hard this season. So again Mustangs hold your head up high and be proud, bc you deserve it. You have worked extremly hard all season. Now it's time to get ready for sectionals. Sectionals will be at Lebanon High School Friday Feb 17th and Saturday Feb 18th. Wrestlings starts at 5:30PM on Friday and 10 AM on Saturday. Go Mustangs! LIVE MAROON!!!!
