WOW!! What a night. Thank You
to everyone who came out and supported us tonight. It was
great to see the Alumni getting out and supporting us. A BIG
Congrats goes out to the Mustangs who finish the season 9-3
in duals. The boys def came to wrestle tonight. There was
absolutely no quit as they opened up the dual 54-0 on...
there way to a 60-21 victory over Connor. Now off to Milford
for a good test before we head into the post season in just
2 weeks. Thanks again to everyone for coming out and rockin
the house.

Last night Jan 20th we went to
Woodward for a tri meet against them and Withrow. We were a
little worried because we lost our 215 on Friday to a knee
injury, 145 to a toe and heavy is out at the time. We
started off w/ Withrow and finished tied at 39. Went to the
rule book for criteria and we won. We should have won
straight u...p.
Some matches did not go our way. In this match Senior Donnie
Ballou reached win #100. Congrats to him. Then we took on
Woodward beating them 50 something to 20 I believe. Donnie
achieved #101. As a team we are now 8-3, locking up a
winning season for the first time in A LONG TIME. Congrats
to the team, now we need a league title to top it off.

Come out and send our seniors
off with a bang. Help us pack the house as we take on Connor
HS. Lets show them how proud we are of them and what they
have become. Senior Donnie Ballou should be over 100 career
victories by then, making him the most wins by a wrestler in
SCHOOL HISTORY. PLEASE LETS PACK THE HOUSE

So we finished up our Tri
Match tonight against Meadowdale and Woodward. All in all we
looked pretty well. We beat Meadiwdale 52-28 and Woodward
69-5. We wrestled well tonight and pulled our record to 6-3.
The magic number is now 1. We need to win 1 more dual to
guarantee a winning season. We have a real good chance to...
finish 9 or 10 and 3, we will just have to wait and see how
they finish the season.
Congrats on a night well done. Next match is Sycamore
tournament next weekend

Western Hills wrestling team when to Norwood High School Jan, 2nd 2010 and had a great showing. We took fifth out of thirteen teams. Team captain Donnie Ballou at 130lb's lead the the team by placing 1st, 103lb Daron Armstrong, 189lb Jacob West (team captain), 215lb Jacob Gray placed 2nd and 125lb Stoney Sutton (team captain) placed third. We went in with all weight classes filled and every one contributed. Donnie Ballou has ninety four career wins and on his way to be Western Hills first to have over one hundred wins. Western hills has a tri meet Jan, 6th at Western Hills ant the team would like every ones support.

Few more notes on the duals. Deshawntee Goodson our new heavy weight this year also went 5-0. I made a mistake on Stoney Sutton he was actually 4-1.

Today we wrestled at the Mt. Healthy Duals. We finished in 5th place out of 8 Teams. We went 3 and 2 With wins over Simon Kenton Loveland (B) and Amelia. The 2 losses were to Mt. Healthy and Lakota West (B). We rotated some people in and out of the line up to get some guys some matches. They started slow goin 0 and 2 but finished strong going 3 and 0 to go home with a winning record. Donnie Ballou was 5 and 0 with 2 pins a tech and a descion. Jake West was 3 and 1 and Stoney Sutton was 3 and 2. Our season dual record is now 4 and 3 with alot of inner league wrestling coming up.
